It is thought that somewhere between 15% and 25% of the UK's population either have some form of disability or play a part in looking after someone who is disabled. The purpose of the Disability Discrimination Act [DDA] is to prevent people, whether they are employees or customers, suffering disadvantages as a result of their disability.
